Eucharistic Adoration

On the first Friday of each month, St. Peter’s parishioners join in adoration of Christ’s presence in the Eucharist.   During Lent, Forty Hours Devotion is held.  And on the Feast of the Body and Blood of Christ, Eucharistic Adoration takes place one-half hour before all weekend Masses.

Monthly Adoration on First Friday begins immediately after the 8 o’clock morning Mass and continues for one hour until 9:30 am.

In 2014, Forty Hours Devotion will be held on March 24, 25, and 26.   A holy hour of scripture, homily, and music will be offered each evening from 7:30 to 8:30  followed by continuous adoration through the night.

Our goal is to have at least two people in adoration while the Blessed Sacrament is exposed.  Participants are asked to indicate when they plan to attend by signing a schedule at the Spiritual Literature Corner in the back of the Church if possible.  But everyone is encouraged to come whenever their schedules allow.

Pamphlets to assist in contemplating the presence of Christ in the Eucharist are available at the Spiritual Literature Corner.
