FOCCUS: The Sacrament of Marriage and Beyond is a comprehensive approach to prepare engaged couples for Catholic marriage and parish life. It presents the beauty and the dignity of matrimony as a sacrament reflecting Christ's love for the Church and emphasizes the importance of marriage as a covenant of lifelong love and fidelity according to the teachings of Christ and his Church. Engaged couples will be assigned a mentor couple who will help them work through everything needed to be ready for this commitment. It includes meetings with the mentor couple, participating in an approved marriage preparation course and attending a course on Natural Family Planning (NFP). Engaged couples must contact the Parish Office at least 6 months prior to their desired wedding date to get the process started.
