When Angel’s Watch, formerly Hughesville Shelter for Women and Children, opened in May 1989, a caring group of St. Peter's parishioners began to help. The Angel’s Watch Meal Providers began by preparing a chicken dinner on first Sunday of each month, and has continued to do so every month for the past 19 years. 

Now a second group provides a meatloaf dinner on the second Sunday of each month. Meals are prepared by individuals and families in their homes and delivered to Angel’s Watch on a specified day. The group also operates an OJ brigade, a Fresh Egg brigade and a small Cereal brigade.   There are no meetings. Participation is flexible.
