This special Christian formation ministry is designed to encourage participation and spiritual growth within the whole range of ages and relationships of families.
The focus is to provide a formation program that blends religious education with opportunities for communal prayer and worship, to grow in discipleship through service to parish and community, and to enjoy events and activities that support Catholic family life.
Children and middle school youth attend faith formation sessions where they are instructed in the Catholic faith and are prepared to receive the sacraments. Sessions for parents are offered the first hour your child/youth is with their group; then we all gather in auditorium for ‘Family Enrichment’ to support parent(s)/ guardian(s) role in the faith formation of their children/youth. Throughout the year we include special Intergenerational themed sessions.
Sessions for children PreK through 8th grade are held on most Sundays during the academic year (September – June) from 11:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. Contact the Office for Christian Formation at 301-843-9583 for more information.

Faith and Safety
“A resource guide brought to you by a collaboration between The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops and The Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America. Faithandsafety.org is intended to be not only a set of practical tools and guides for adults, but also a place where they can find a faith framework for conversations with their children about the need to be ethically and morally equipped when they go online,” said Bishop John C. Wester of Salt Lake City, chairman of the USCCB Committee on Communication.
This is a resource for adults to help children safely navigate the online and mobile worlds. Internet safety isn’t about the right software or service. Rather, real safety in the digital world is all about active, involved, loving parenting.
