More about Cenacle Prayer:
The Cenacle Family Prayer Group meets every Friday evening in the church at 8:00 for Eucharistic Adoration, prayer, and fellowship. “Cenacle” is the name of the Upper Room where Jesus’ apostles gathered together in prayer with Mary at Pentecost, and the Holy Spirit descended upon them. Two thousand years later, Our Lady renews the call to gather us together with her in cenacles of prayer in anticipation of the Holy Spirit.

St. Peter’s Cenacle prays for an increase in vocations to the priesthood and for the holiness and protection of priests, including the Pope. We also pray for seminarians, deacons, religious sisters, and the needs of St Peter’s parish and its parishioners. The Sacrament of Reconciliation is available on the First Friday of every month while praying in honor of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in unity with our brothers and sisters who also pray on this day in honor of the Heart of Christ who loves us even to the point of death on the cross.

There is a strong presence of families in the group: babies, young children, fathers, mothers and even grandparents. Many of the families have been faithfully praying together since the group began on the Feast of the Assumption, August 15, 1990. Youth and young adults play a key role in leading prayers, including the Rosary. This Marian intercessory prayer group serves as a channel of grace for the Sacred Heart of Jesus and theImmaculate Heart of Mary to bless the entire parish through total con-secration to Jesus through Mary. All are invited to join us any Friday evening. Bring your rosary!
